RAL Finishes/Custom Finishes

Matching specified RAL colors and/or paint manufacturer paint finishes can be done but can present issues that can make it difficult.

For instance, even if a powder coat finish is ordered to match the name/number of the specified finish, often times the percentage of gloss and/or texture will likely vary from a given manufacturer’s color swatch.

Because of this variance, we recommend ordering your products with a zinc-rich primer powder coat, which can be easily painted to match by the project’s onsite painting contractor.

Care should be taken to remove specified installed accessories, like dampers, air deflectors, and concealment louvers, prior to painting.

addDesigns

SteelCrest does not limit you to a single collection of designs, but offers you any design from any source you specify.

Specified designs can be modified, as needed, to meet or exceed project airflow requirements, as specified by project engineers.

addSizes

Single-piece grilles can be made as large as 117x57 inches, and as small as 3x3 inches. However, shipping restrictions can be a barrier to larger pieces being transported outside our local 85040 zip code.

Often times, larger pieces can be fabricated in 2 or 3 piece configurations with final joining of pieces in the field prior to installation.

addAirflow Characteristics

Because each unique design can often be altered by shrinking or expanding the design, or modifying the geometry, airflow characteristics can vary greatly.  

SteelCrest does have extended airflow ratings, including CFM, pressure drop, throw distances, and noise ratings, on many designs.
